Health & Safety

Introduction

St Michael’s Parish in Remuera is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment so we protect everyone here - employees, volunteers, visitors, contractors, church property and the environment. We achieve this by taking all reasonably practicable steps to eliminate or minimise any risks/hazards under our control and prevent harm from occurring. We suggest you read our policy and emergency procedures listed below. St Michael’s has many obligations to comply with our Health and Safety obligations set out in law.  We have a duty of care to ensure no one is harmed while attending church or related church activities or while working for us or when on our premises. Workers and visitors have a duty to comply with the health and safety policy and guidelines set out below.

The following Health and Safety policy and guidelines have been developed by the Catholic Diocese for use at the parish level and we have adopted them.
