He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. ” Mark 16:15-17

Holy Orders is the sacrament by which Jesus invites some men to share in his High Priesthood and so perpetuate the one Sacrifice of the Last Supper and Calvary through time. He calls these men to Shepherd his people and to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel; the saving Death and Resurrection of Jesus and our participation in that through Baptism. A Bishop possesses the fullness of the priesthood. Priests are co-workers with the Bishop, sharing in his ministerial priesthood for the service of the People of God.
